The Afternoon with the Sweetest Dog Ever

I’m no dog whisperer…but I know a sweet dog when I see one!
I went over to my friend’s place last weekend for a housewarming get-together. But we all ended up oohing and ahhing over the newest member of their family, Chocolat (pronounced the French way, of course!).
She is just two months old and absolutely darling, falling asleep on my feet one minute, jumping around to play the next. I nearly passed out from cuteness overload.
On my way back home, I actually looked up apartments in my neighborhood that allow pets. I even checked to see what kind of dogs were at my local pound. But I’m barely home long enough to take care of my plants, much less a real live animal. And I never ever want to be an irresponsible parent that neglects their pets. So for the time being, I’m going to have to be satisfied with being Auntie Kaori to all my friend’s dogs.
Personally, I don’t mind being the fun aunt that gets to spoil them at all 😀
Here are some photos of Chocolat:

Do you have a dog? Or are you an auntie/uncle like me?

  1. Well, there you go. You have made another good friend in the blink of an eye.

The malady you came down with appears to be contagious. I have a bad case of “cuteness overload” too now. Oh, wait, make that a good case.

    Goldendoodle?

I understand that labradors have an instinct for retrieving. Because they are mixed I wonder if goldendoodles have an instinct for ぐるぐるバット like in the video. Or in this case would we call it ぐるぐるライオン? Guru guru lion the floor?

    So cute!

  2. Chocolat is a toy poodle! They're very popular in Japan, I've heard they don't shed as much as other dogs. I'm sure the fact that they are cute as punch doesn't hurt either 😉

(I didn't know goldendoodles were real and I thought you were kidding!)

  3. An apricot (?) toy poodle! I didn’t know poodles came in such a color. I wonder if Chocolat will eventually become runway worthy. Although I, personally, might prefer something a bit more natural.

(Yeah, it’s not always easy for people other than myself to know clearly when I am joking and when I am not. My dead-pan delivery doesn’t help, even in person.)
