We’ve had a whole bunch of amazing spring weather lately!
Like I said before, everything is starting to grow, and I love it! A couple of weekends ago, I decided to enjoy the weather and did very spring things.
- Walked around the neighborhood in my new spring shoes, which I absolutely love. (Not one bit sexy but I don’t care, they are so comfortable!)
- Planted my herb garden. This year will be basil, mint, and if I can find it, french parsley. And if I can’t stop myself, rosemary and thyme, too.
- After going to see the “JFK: His Life and Legacy” exhibit at the National Archives of Japan (it was really interesting!), my friend M and I walked through the Imperial Palace East Garden. It was my first time there but it was so peaceful and quiet. The perfect place to stroll through before heading back to the chaos that is Tokyo.

At your Imperial Palace East Garden link we can see the foundation of Edo Castle. The last time anyone saw the complete castle was in early March 1657 and it might have looked something like this at that time.

Your shoes look fabulous. Were they hand croucheted? Hand made or not wouldn’t necessarily change how they look on you: which is super. Great in hot weather also what with the fresh-air ventilation.

I completely fell for my shoes, which I bought in March. I've been waiting and waiting for spring to come so I can wear them outside! They look croucheted but I'm guessing not…but I still like them! 😀

(I should have written that the stone foundation in the Imperial Palace East Garden was the base of the donjon of Edo Castle.)
