The Gold’s Gym

I never thought this day would come…but I’ve joined a gym!!!
That’s right, a gym. And not only any old regular gym but the scariest and most unappealing gym in the world, Gold’s Gym (unless your into body building, of course).
I don’t even know how this happened but technically this was the most convenient gym for me. So after weighing myself and nearly falling off the chair from how high my percentage of body fat has climbed, I’ve started their beginners program.
Putting aside the fact that there are just too many men pumping ridiculous amounts of iron in every corner, it’s actually a pretty good gym. And by good, I mean they have TV’s on all their running and biking machines. Seeing as I don’t have a TV at home, this is amazing. It actually motivates me to run/bike for a longer period of time because I want to see how the program ends!
Good deal, right? πŸ˜€

  1. You joined Gold's Gym? Wow! I used to do yoga and ballet after work when I worked in Tokyo, but it was definitely not as hard-core. I also went to Tipness for a while (where I watched TV on the treadmill, naturally) but it didn't last. δΈ‰ζ—₯坊主ではγͺγδΈ‰γ‹ζœˆεŠδΈ»γγ‚‰γ„γ‹γͺ。

  2. Did you like taking Yoga classes? I was thinking about taking Bikram Yoga classes, too. But they were so expensive and since I can use my company discount for the gym, I thought I'd try out their studio yoga classes.

I'm hoping not to be a δΈ‰ζ—₯坊主…only been to the gym twice since joining last week! We'll see how it goes ;D

  3. I thought of your post here when I read the below article a few minutes ago.

Get Fit in Just Three Minutes a Week (actually that is three minutes of intensity and another 24 minutes of slow cruising for a grand total of 27 minutes during the entire week, which comes to one minute intense, and eight minutes cruising [nine minutes total] in one day, but still…).

The little blue box seen after scrolling down a bit explains things succinctly.
